nie SD-Speicherkarten formatieren

Kundenproblem: 2 GB SD Speicherkarte wird nach dem formatieren mit Windows XP nicht mehr im Gerät erkannt. Dringender Hinweis: SD-Karten immer nur mit der geräteeigenen
(z.B. Kamera) software formatieren.

Ursache: die von XP verwendete Festplattenformatierungsroutine ist etwas völlig anderes als das, was die Kartenhersteller aufbringen.Stellungnahme Panasonic:

Generally, SD/SDHC Memory Card file systems formatted with generic operating system formatting software do not comply with the SD Memory Card Specification. If you have formatted SD/SDHC Memory Card with generic operating system formatting software, reformat SD/SDHC Memory Card using this software or the appropriate formatting software prepared by the SD hosts provider.

Panasonic hat dazu (ein auch für andere Karten funktionierendes) Programm herausgebracht. Das gibt es ebenfalls unter obiger Quellenangabe.
